What's in the zoo?

This project presents content using a dataset, with data selected based on specific conditions rather than randomly. Inspired by my visit to the London Zoo in November, I wanted to feature various interesting animals in the work. To represent animals in a playful way, I considered elements like fur, eyes, silhouettes, and sounds, and ultimately chose footprints for their diverse shapes and engaging qualities. In the interaction design, the keyboard is used to trigger each animal: each letter corresponds to a specific animal (some letters correspond to a letter in the animal’s name), with a total of 26 animal footprints. Pressing a letter displays the corresponding footprint.

这个项目使用数据集进行内容呈现，数据不是随机，而是按特定条件提取。我受十一月伦敦动物园之行启发，希望作品中出现各种有趣动物的身影。为了用有趣的方式表示动物，我考虑了毛发、眼睛、外形剪影、声音等元素，最终选择用脚印来代表不同动物，因为脚印形态多样且趣味性强。在交互设计上，我使用键盘控制，每个字母对应一种动物（部分字母对应名称中的字母），共选择了26种动物的脚印，点击字母即可显示对应足迹。
